David has been in the photography business for over 35 years. He graduated from Colorado College in 1963. He was a freelancer for Time (Which is huge!) and then he continued onto Life. Around 1976, Burnett, co-founded Contact Press Images, which is locked in New York. His work has progressed excessively, he has traveled everywhere and is working for most of the major photographic magazines in the U.S. and Europe. After all of his progress with his career, he got named one of the “100 most important people in photography” which is outstanding to be nominated as that.
The type of equipment that he uses is a 60 year old Speed Graphic press camera, plastic $30 HOLGA, (Which I have no idea what that is), and his digital cameras. According to him, each camera is a tool to find the right look for the right moment.
I admire how his work has different emotion, subjects, and colors. Every picture is different and not one looks remotely similar. I also like the settings of the pictures. There are different situations used, but some of the topics of his photos are: war, sport. Politics, famous, infamous, and unfamous. Aside from his work though, I admire how he has come so far into his work. Putting so much time and effort into your job and getting awards and nominated 100 most important people in photography, along with being the co-founder of Contact Press Images. This man has probably fulfilled so many of his goals and dreams and that is amazing. I completely admire that because that would be an amazing thing to have accomplished in your life.
